Ready to be Delievered
Prepartions are complete and the
team are ready to sail to Bougainville
In recent news received this week (20th August) from Bougainville, the people are excited to learn that Special Effects, her crew & the training material are on their way. A proposed training schedule for the months of Sep & Oct will see the second Module delivered to the Pastors of Bougainville and a new intake of Pastors starting Module 1. Praise God
Proposed Schedule for 2007
Weather permitting the expected arrival of SFX in Bougainville will be approx 1st Sep. Once customs has been cleared there will be the official welcoming and greetings from the People of Bougainville.
The United Church Bishop will officially welcome the training Centre Principals - Ernie & Marylyn Gunders back to Bougainville for the next season of training.
Amongst the heavy training schedule will be various visits to Health clinics for the giving of Baby Bundles for the Mothers of new born babies.
A visit to the Hospital in Buka town to deliver a range or medical supplies that no doubt will be well accepted as they are each year.
Visits to schools in all areas of Bougainville to share the gospel message and also pass on the many School Bags that have been prepared for this journey from all over the world, just for the children in Bougainville.
A visit will be planned to the site of the new Training Centre in preparation for future building and construction of the centre.
There will be a busy Preaching schedule set out for Both Ernie & Marilyn as they travel between the various villages and towns sharing Gods Word and encouraging the people of Bougainville.
As with each visit to Bougainville, various representatives from the Autonomous Bougainville Government are excited to meet the team and share in a time of celebration for the graduation of the Pastors & their wives who have completed the training.
Prior to departure there will be many thanks giving services arranged in apreciation for the giving of time and resources to the bougainville People.
Then the return of Special Effects to Australia in November, another approx 10 days return journey.
All of this in 8 Weeks .... Please pray for Strength Health & endurance for the Team
Work Permits - Update
To date no official word has come through to confirm the much awaited Work Permits are ready. All relevant paper work has been completed many months ago and has been submitted to the appropriate authorities in PNG. Please pray with us that these will come soon. Once received, the Gunders and Cavies will be heading ASAP to Bougainville on a permanent basis. The blessing of work Permits will allow the Training of Pastors to commence on a larger scale. Building of the Training centre can be started, a whole range of task can commence to allow the work in Bougainville move into the next stage. It has been limited until this date, however please pray with us that Tehillah & the Team will prepared for when God has us to move to the next step.
Training Module 2
In 2006 Tehillah Ministries completed the training of Module 1 to 26 Students. This was a journey of 4 weeks that will be followed up this year by Module 2 over a further 4 weeks.
It has been a privilege that God has entrusted these Pastors to us, for their formal training to serve as qualified and recognised Pastors in their communities.

Ernie & Marilyn's intention is to train the Pastors as a team and to see their wives attend is an encouraging outcome.
Ernie quotes "the material and time spent in the training has been a profitable journey, the students have been truly encouraged by the 4 weeks of training". Praise God
Partners Required
There will again be plans for celebration, once module 2 has been completed. However, for this work to be completed, Tehillah faithfully works towards completing this Vision. This can't be completed without Partners in Christ.
Tehillah as do many mission organisations, needs Partners who can financially support their work in order to complete the task.

It truly has been a wonderful outcome, which saw many people involved as communities came together from different villages to facilitate meals and accommodation for students during the 4 weeks.

The work in Bougainville involves not only the people in countries outside Bougainville, the senders, supporters, partners, prayers, it also involves the people on the ground in the local communities. Gods kingdom has come together for His Glory we praise God for this journey and all who are involved.
