Ernie & Marilyn are currently ministering in Bougainville, with a Pastors Training course starting on August 21st and will carry through for 4 weeks until Sep 15th, followed by a Graduation Celebration on Sunday 17th.  There will be 20 Pastors attending, with their wives as well.

Shane & Karen have just returned from PNG, they have been on a 4 week short term mission work party to Mougulu in the Bedamuni area in the Upper Fly Region of the Western Province of Papua New Guinea, with Tom & Salome Hoey of the Bedamuni Scripture and Overseas Development Trust.  They had a really busy time but were able to achieve heaps in such a short time. Shane enjoyed his work out in the bush cutting down trees and hauling them back into the mission station with the tractor. He helped out with lots of repair and maintenance work as well as installing a new radio for the aid post at a village 35 kms away. Karen’s time was spent teaching a typing class in the morning and another class in the afternoon. About half of Karen’s 10 students completed the basic typing course and she also trained one of the students to carry on the classes after she left.
